& MUSIC IN THE SQUARE '05

 

The whole world turned its attention to Harborough between August 6th and 20th 2005, when the World Gliding Championships were held at Husbands Bosworth Airfield.

More than 60 pilots, from 17 different countries all over Europe, North America, Africa and Australia competed and spent the fortnight experiencing the delights of South Leicestershire. 

Market Harborough's HFM was  proud to support the event and on the evening of August 5th we hosted the opening ceremony on The Square, Market Harborough, which also saw performances by local bands BIG DEAL....HAIZE and HOT PROPERTY, in front of a crowd of hundreds!!
